In coordination with the Mountainside Memorial Day Parade, Mountainside’s Memorial Day Parade Committee 2012 is sponsoring poster (K-2) and essay (3-12) contests for scouts in Mountainside.

If your son will be entering the First through Fifth Grades in the Fall of 2012 and is interested in joining the cub scouts then come join Pack 177 on April 25th to learn more. An information session will be held in the cafeteria at Beechwood at 7:00 for parents while children will participate in a den meeting with some of our Bear Cubs.

Mountainside is holding its first annual Memorial Day Parade in 2012.
The Memorial Day ceremony will be held at the memorial by the Library at 12 noon on Monday May 28th, and will be followed by a parade to Our Lady of Lourdes (OLL) / Deerfield.

Well it's that time of the season for Cub Scout Family Camping. Registration is open till the end of the month.

The theme is Scout Vs. Wild.

The Blue & Gold Banquet marks the “official” end of our scouting year. At this dinner, all levels of scouts receive their awards and advancements to the next scouting rank. The 5th Grade Webelos participate in a special ceremony, during which they receive their “Arrow of Light” award (the highest award received in Cub Scouts) and those boys who will continue in scouting "cross over" into Boy Scouts. It’s time to register your current scouts for the upcoming 2012-2013 scouting year. The cost of re-registration is $60.00 for the first scout and $55.00 for each additional scout in the same family.
